    I heard that story about ten years ago as I was watching a game between the Dodgers and Mets. At the time, Vin Scully was calling the game, and finished the story by saying, “The legend became so popular that apparently there’s even a rock n’ roll band named Yo La Tengo.”

    Classic baseball lore.
