Exhaustion

Notes from today’s long run. This was very different from the route I thought I was doing and my first chuckit-less long run.

. . . just a light drizzle - it should be a good day . . . moderately busy at the market but the streets are clear . . . acoustic time’s arrows melts away the surroundings - “could we please turn around?” . . . weave around the stoplights to capitol hill . . . it is a good day . . . which way to the water tower? 16th? 16th . . . watch out for the basset hound . . . the water tower - I can’t believe I was first here in 1997 . . . time’s arrows again - better be careful not to get tired of this . . . wow - takk… is amazingly better than () . . . descending through interlaken is way more fun than climbing! . . . how much muddier could marsh island be than the arboretum? . . . no one in the arboretum - remember the day with james and ahn na years ago - I should totally grow that stache again . . . here’s the burke - sure do wish i’d eaten something today . . . or started earlier - this is seriously going to kill me . . . and brought my watch . . . i must be over an hour into this, time for some chocolate outrage . . . there is no possible way this is only 11 miles . . . hmm - what’s this barrier doing in my way? guess i should turn down the rilo kiley so i can tell when they’re opening the bridges - but i made it! . . . queen anne, here i come! . . . holy jesus this leg is hard!! . . . watch out for the girls with razors . . . my other radio tower - hooray! . . . barely even recognize leslie and ben’s old place - and the tennis courts are gone - so nostalgic today . . . finally done climbing - should be smooth sailing from here on . . . seems i always get rain on queen anne . . . a little windy at the overlook . . . hello, bulldogs! . . . dravus - the end is near and the wind is howling . . . alligator - take me home . . . no one on the pier 91 trail, either - i suppose it must be 3 or so . . . terrific! the water’s working at the fishing pier . . . now i see some other runners - they look happy but that’s probably because they’re going WITH the gale . . . eagle - my finish line - i can barely see - this cat is headed straight for the hot tub . . .
