Yeah, I read an article that originally they were calling themselves the Web 2.0 browser (I suppose just using the hype of Web 2.0 as part of their marketing...like, "hey, check out my new Web 2.0 sneakers"), but have decided to re-brand themselves as the Social Web Browser, and (supposedly) have made great strides with their integration. Although, I've found recently that the phrase "Web 2.0" means little (to absolutely nothing) to the general public anyway, so maybe they ditched "Web 2.0" in favor of "Social" because maybe people relate to that moniker a little more readily. I've downloaded it, although I don't intend to devote much time right now to messing around with it. I'll let you know if I ever do.

IMO flock is all talk. I tried it out like a year ago because it was supposed to be this awesome platform aggregating all the cool new web 2.0 sites (specifically I wanted the flickr, delicious, and blogging integration) and it didn't work at all with metaweblog API (here's the bug they didn't bother to fix that I was hitting: https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4295) and otherwise it was just not as awesome as it seemed like it should be. I don't know if it's better now - you should find out and tell me :-)

It's taken me a while to "get" social sites (and I'm sure you know from my activity on facebook, that it's not really a priority for me), but since you now consider yourself "in the know", you might be interested in Flock, which is touting itself as the Social Web Browser and apparently has some interesting integration with Facebook. I haven't used it yet, but sounds interesting.

Aren't you a little young to be taking that tone with me? I'm asking in the general sense - the fact that you've been doing it since you were, say, 12 is no excuse :o)
