Live!
The site I’ve started working on has moved out of beta. It’s really super awesome and I feel very lucky to have had the chance to work with such a great group of people and really learned a ton over the past weeks. If you’re reading this you should sign up for an account and check it out. It still has a few rough edges but it’s really very, very cool.
Or check out what’s happening in my neighborhood:

This does look neat, but I think the news icon should not look like a free wifi symbol (it’s identical to the wifi symbol on my laptop). But it would be cool if wifi hotpots were on this map and it would also be super cool to see restaurant/store reviews on this map at the location of the restaurant/store from yelp or somewhere (kind of like google maps does, but it seems like this would spur more conversations than google maps and would let news feeds be integrated in.

Maybe it is just a timing thing but the site is really sloooow.
There does not seem to be a Madison Valley location so I am regulated to someplace called “Stevens”. http://www.yourstreet.com/seattle-wa-stevens
Seems kind of interesting though.
