It’s a small web, after all
Denali National Park, originally uploaded by seancarr54.
I recently found a comment on one of my pictures from Alaska and started checking out the pictures from the guy who made the comment and found the above picture in his stream. The funny thing about this is that judging from what I heard from others, that sow and calf were walking around the Wilderness Access Center at Denali all the time every day. But I never saw them. I took a really long walk on the morning of my last day in Denali from the WAC up to see the sled dogs back to the WAC and into the canyon looking for them and had already spent two other days on the shuttle buses in the park but had come up fancy and moose-free. The closest I came was finding what I’m pretty sure was some moose fur on a branch, but no sign of this pair. I was starting to wonder whether there *really* were moose in Alaska, but this guy’s (extensive) photo record proves it!
