Poor Tanya

Over Christmas she wound up in the hospital for an appendectomy (two
years ago for Christmas she had her tonsils and adenoids removed - the
bright side of this is that she’ll run out of vestigial organs sooner
or later and not need this kind of surgery). Then last week she went
to the dentist for the first 2 hours of a root canal. And finally
this morning she’s on her way downtown for jury selection. I predict
either…the storm is almost over–she will dodge jury selection, wrap
up her root canal this week, and get back to life as usual…or we’ll
see the resumption of conscription right around the time when the
trial finishes. I’ve got my fingers crossed for the former!

UPDATE 2005.01.24

Tanya made it through the first round of selection and finds out
tomorrow if she’ll be on the case or not.
